Digital art innovator Laurence Gartel has had his work exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art among others and is known for creating custom pieces for the likes of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.

His latest “masterpiece,” however is rather abominable — the world’s ugliest Ferrari. And he claims it’s worth $1 million.

We don’t think Gartel, whose work is in the permanent collection of Smithsonian’s Museum of American History, set out to make the luxury car unattractive. He transformed a $300,000 Ferrari F430 Scuderia into a moving canvas using every color imaginable in a nightmarish combination, apparently commissioned by “art social network,” Artfellas.

Check out a video of the emetic supercar above, but be forewarned — Ferrari lovers might cry, and the rest of you will probably need a bucket.

While we’re enjoying the latest luxury and supercar news from our correspondent at the Geneva Motor Show, here’s a video clip of some of the beautiful models who attracted the most stares. We’re not talking about the machines themselves but rather the bevy of beauties hired to show them off to advantage. The Geneva show sees the debut of some of the world’s hottest cars so the competition is fierce. While many spectators take the girls for granted, a sort of added attraction or sideshow to the main event, as The Classicist noted in this 2009 column car show girls are in fact carefully chosen “tools to present the [car brands'] corporate image in a very distinctive way.” Our advice: don’t read too much into it, just enjoy the show.

As for motorcycle manufacturers entering into the car game, most would probably put bets down on Yamaha as the player most likely to make a go of it. After all, the Japanese brand has already built a supercar concept dubbed OX99-11, and on top of that it produces engines for Lexus, and designed and built Ford’s SHO engines, as well as Volvo’s current V8.What’s more, it makes everything from musical instruments to electronics. But as is often the case in the automotive world, what seems likely doesn’t always take place. Instead, the Netherlands’ KTM, building motorcycles since 1934, is building the X-Bow, a radical machine that’s about as close to a motorcycle as any four-wheeler yet.Interested buyers in North America might be pleasantly surprised to hear that the X-Bow has been slated for sale on this side of the Atlantic. KTM has announced plans to sell a street-legal version of the X-Bow in the U.S. (and we can only hope Canada is added to the list now that our bumper restrictions are to be unified with the U.S.), which contradicts the company’s previous announcement that it would just be sold in Europe and Asia and be a track-only plaything.

Will a four-door Royale join Bugattias next supercar?

Now here’s an interesting tidbit of news for any doubters of the Lexus supercar program. The brand has just confirmed that it will be contesting a prototype of its upcoming performance vehicle at this year’s running of the 24 Hours of Nurburgring.Lexus will enter a version of the LF-A supercar in the race for developmental purposes. Although Toyota’s luxury division isn’t saying what’s under the hood, it’s hard to say whether or not it is stock, or whether the racer will even feature the same powertrain as the production car; for all we know it could be merely testing the suspension and other drivetrain components.

The first fully road-going prototype of Porsche’s upcoming 202-mph hybrid-powered 918 Spyder has been seen during shakedown runs at the company’s R&D center in Germany. Porsche released its own lightly disguised photographs of the cars being tested. The mules are acamouflageda in livery meant to summon the famous 917 racer.
